With Studio RAP we designed an innovative bridge for a competition in a small municipality in the Netherlands. The bridge consists almost completely out of wood and due to its optimised freeform space frame structure it blends nicely with its surroundings.  The space frame structure is an efficient way to use a minimum amount of material while maximising the bridge span. The structure is built up from only unique timber rods that can be demounted easily. All rods can be CNC-cut, opening the opportunity to realise beautiful detail connections, resulting in a bespoke bridge design.
